Overview
A showcase of Emirati musical talent, this recital series presents a variety of programmes spanning classical and traditional Arabic repertoire, intricate compositions and contemporary works. Mezzo-soprano Fatima Al Hashimi, accompanied by pianist Ina Charelli, brings warmth and lyricism to a programme that highlights both her expressive voice and the piano’s sensitive accompaniment. Oud virtuosos Saif Al Naqbi and Mubarak Al Dhaheri, joined by qanun player Noura Al Marzouqi, perform in a programme presented in collaboration with Beit Al Oud, celebrating the richness and heritage of Arabic music. Cellist Elham Al Marzouqi, the UAE’s first professional female Emirati cellist, performs works ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions, showcasing the cello’s expressive depth and resonant tone.
Each recital offers an intimate and engaging experience, highlighting the technical mastery, musical sensitivity and expressive richness of Emirati artistry.

Oud virtuosos Saif Al Naqbi and Mubarak Al Dhaheri are joined by qanun player Noura Al Mazrouei, all drawing on their training and experience at Beit Al Oud, Abu Dhabi. In this programme, they present a selection of works weaving together classical and traditional Arabic repertoire, highlighting the intricate textures and expressive qualities of the oud and qanun. Alternating between virtuosic passages and lyrical melodies, the musicians demonstrate their technical mastery and deep understanding of the region’s musical heritage, creating a performance that is both nuanced and captivating. Through each piece, they convey the richness, emotion and storytelling inherent in Arabic music, offering audiences an immersive and memorable musical experience.

Beit Al Oud
Established in 2008, Beit Al Oud in Abu Dhabi is a premier institute dedicated to preserving, teaching and celebrating the rich heritage of Arabic music. Founded under the guidance of oud master Naseer Shamma, the centre offers comprehensive programmes in oud, qanun, voice and other traditional instruments, combining practical training with music theory and performance.
Beit Al Oud also trains artisans in oud craftsmanship, ensuring the continuation of this revered instrument-making tradition. Its Arabic choir programme nurtures vocal ensembles in classical and contemporary Arab repertoire, while diploma courses provide rigorous, performance-focused study for aspiring professional musicians.
As both an educational hub and a cultural centre, Beit Al Oud plays a vital role in sustaining the region’s musical traditions, fostering new talent and promoting Arabic music locally and internationally. Its students and alumni have gone on to perform on major stages, helping to share the beauty and depth of Arabic music with audiences around the world.
