Overview
The UN Chamber Music Society (UNCMS), in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Festival, presents a special concert at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in New York to celebrate World Arabic Language Day. This annual event honours the Arabic language’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage and its pivotal role in the development of art and science. The concert will feature a diverse programme of both classical and contemporary Arabic music, showcasing the linguistic and musical diversity of the Arab world. The repertoire will encompass a variety of popular and classical music from the Arab region, reflecting Arabic’s historic role in the development of art and science. The programme will also underscore the pressing need for global solidarity and support for Arabic-speaking countries in the grip of humanitarian crises.
