Festival Beneficiaries
Part of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2012 ticket sale proceeds will go to each of the following charitable organisations:

The Brave Heart Fund
is a charitable, fundraising initiative established in November 2003 at the Children’s Heart Center at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). It provides financial assistance to needy children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease, helping to cover their medical expenses, without any discrimination by gender, nationality or religious affiliation. Every day children are diagnosed with CHD, but many are compelled to postpone life-saving surgery due to a lack of resources. The Fund aims to provide immediate funding, giving children a chance to live a normal life.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)
and Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) are beneficiaries of the Tomorrow/Bokra initiative. In 2012, WFP shall facilitate arts education in 7 Middle Eastern countries through its existing Education/School Feeding Programme, which reaches out to over 1 million impoverished children daily. With the firm belief that one must feed not only the body, but also the mind and spirit, WFP – with the support of Abu Dhabi Festival and the Tomorrow/Bokra initiative - will reach out to underprivileged children and enrich their lives through arts and music.
